Only 1 day left…

Can you say that again? What?? Bone Cancer?  Nope, no way, wrong! Check it again.
Two weeks later, 3 more opinions and a surgery date set for Tuesday to amputate Lucy’s leg. What the F@$k just happened. Everything is moving so fast and all i heard from the Oncologist was her blood work looks great, lungs are clear but we just don’t know if it spread there could be microscopic metastasis!
Are you friggin kidding me, It’s 2021 and you are telling me there is no test that shows this? What about body scan, X-ray, more blood work? Buy better  equipment that shows these things! How much time will this give her? She’s not even 8 yrs old yet! I’m so lost, heart broken and sick to my stomach. This is my baby girl! There is just not enough information and Im wondering is this normal?
FYI.. I’m writing this post the same way I feel, CONFUSED! My mind is running all over the place.

  1. We can all understand the way you are feeling all too well!!! Confused, fearful, angry, uncertain, nauseous, uncontrollable sobbing, ahock…yeah, that ought to cover it.

Deep breaths. You have certainly come to the eight place for Information and support. Meep Roy gs chunked down for now. The focus, as you’ve already determined is to get rid of the pain and give sweet Lucy a QUALITY pain free life full of spoiling and loving!!
And because there MAY be microscopic met cells, does NOT mean there will be!! Many here can attest to thar!.
Licy does not have a rime frame stamped anywhere on her butt and could care less about days on a calendar. Dogs live in the NOW with no worries about the tomorrows.

The import thing now is to focus on recovery and getting Licy back to being Lucy. Rec is no picnic for a ,couple of weeks, but we are here to help you navigate through it and celebrate all her victories.

Check out the forums and, when you can, post over there so more support can be given on pain management, what to expect during recovery, etc.
And p,ease post more pictures! Licy is beautiful!!! So darn cute!!!
    Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
